What a little girl saw in a soap bubble ?
video, 02:30 min
2007
This video is both realistic and symbolic.
A little girl is having fun making soap bubbles. In each bubble
a different image appears: starving children in Africa, a white lily (symbol of innocence), the tragedy in Beslan, Chechnya, the attack on the World Trade Center, a beggar with a child in his arms... Each of them is juxtaposed with a corresponding symbol: e.g. the WTC with a butterfly (Greek: psyche). The soap bubble is a symbol of the ephemerality of life, but on the other hand, the images it represents indicate the desire to maintain life at all costs. The little, carefree girl, in the soap bubbles, discovers world previously unknown to her, a world full of hunger and cruelty.
Alice's adventures in a TrueWorld
video, 06:00 min
2009
A little girl like Alice in Wonderland wanders through the world. But from the world of dreams she tends up to the real world. Looking at it from above, from her swing, she observes one day from the life of a grown-up man. He collides with everyday life - he sees a man rummaging through a garbage can,
a beggar, and people who are always hurrying and busy.
This video poses a question about the meaning of our existence, about the purpose of our "adult" life.
The little girl is a symbol - she is each of us, a reminder of our childhood dreams. In this real world, Alice encounters various symbols unnoticed by any of the adults: a huge spider (which by not spinning its web becomes a symbol of the lack of dreams), a giant fly - a symbol of corruption, and an innocent child, used in the bus as a tool to get more money - white lily flowers - a symbol of innocence of a child who was deprived of the chance for a carefree childhood. While the city is falling asleep, Alice scatters magic dust, to remind people of their dreams, so that in the rush of everyday life they don't forget what is most important to them.
Holy Day

2009
This video raises questions about the role of the sacred in today's world. Most Poles spend every Sunday in church, they consider themselves practicing Catholics. And aftermass they enjoy spending time in shopping malls.
As a form I used here a mandala: the scenes from the church, as in a kaleidoscope, are intertwined with images of sales in the shopping mall.
Dream

2006
It is a juxtaposition of dreams of contemporary European children with the brutal reality of children who were born in a country that has been years of war. In this video I juxtaposed the image of a boy and a girl dressing up as their ideals - a princess and a soldier - with the images of a country at war.
The hero with a gun in his hand appears in too many fairy tales, so it is no wonder that almost every boy wants to be a brave
hero, to kill and win.
Ritual
3-channel video, loop
plate and candle
2002
The installation consists of three films and a small object as a reminiscence of a ritual from my childhood. It is about the rituals of
everyday life. I focused on the reasons and purpose of performing these seemingly insignificant activities.
An extreme manifestation of this problem is obsessive compulsions, where focusing on the performed activity allows to distract from other events that the patient can't cope with.
The form of the installation therefore presents both the ordinary activity of washing hands, which refers to the rituals of ablution,
as well as the obsessiveness of walking on lines, which refers to the child's play. The central image is a juxtaposition of two worlds - one of the child and second one of the adult, who are
performing the same activity (playing in class).
All the films contain snapshots of tragic events taking place in the world (fires, wars). While for children this a form of play, for adults,
returning to the world of childhood magic, wants to escape from reality, creating for himself a sense of control over the situation.
Good bye

A short video that combines images and music. It poses the question of what remains after we die. The memory of those closest to us is then contained in the everyday objects that accompanied them during their lives. This video was made after the death of my mother.
Woman
video, 06:30 min
2008
This video is about a woman and the world, about the 4 elements that we can find in each of us. Each woman is accompanied by a different symbol: Woman-Water is a symbol of purity, unconsciousness. Standing in the sea (symbol of infinity, eternity) she holds a jug of water. The Woman-Earth represents the material sphere of feminine sphere - she holds a fish in her hands - a symbol of fertility and the beginning of life. The Woman-Air, with her feet in the clouds, is the divine, spiritual part of the woman, full of mysticism. Woman-Fire - is her emotionality, sensitivity, but also passion and power, the ability to create and destruction, symbol of metamorphosis.
Creating woman
wideo 02:45 min
2008
This is a juxtaposition of 2 images of women: the first one depicts a simple woman, busy with everyday activities,
the second - created by the media - the one we see in TV commercials (always beautiful, slim and "done").
Makeup in front of the mirror, the woman tries to turn herself into the ideal one - the one she "should" be ... Showing the absurdity of this situation I wonder what it means to be a woman for woman herself? Why does an ordinary woman not feel feminine? What is femininity ?
